Second water treatment unit launched in Kyiv region
The Makariv community
occupies 40% of the Bucha United Territorial Community and is the largest.
Local residents have repeatedly emphasized that there is no drinking water in
the taps. Due to its high level of iron, it is dangerous and unfit for
consumption. The Foundation received a request to solve the water supply
problem.
A water treatment
system has recently been installed in the center of Makariv, which will provide
the village with high-quality water for free. The opening ceremony was attended
by members of the non-profit American organization RDI, US congressmen, and
American journalists.
Oleh Klenin presented
the second project of the foundation, ReCITY, which, together with the
foundation's Building group, whose representatives were also invited to the
opening, is rebuilding the first smart city for Mariupol residents.
Mykhailo Kohut, First
Deputy Mayor of Mariupol, personally inspected the land allocated for
construction and expressed his opinion on the need to build water treatment
systems for Ukrainian Mariupol.
